We are Residents Medical Center for Graduate Medical Education Excellence
The Residents Medical Center for Graduate Medical Education Excellence (RM Center of GME Excellence) is an ACGME Accredited Sponsoring Institution academic training hub designed to prepare the first generation of AI native residents, with an emphasis to training our residents in careers in academic medicine.
Our resident physicians will have rigorous clinical and research training, our cohorts don’t just excel in diagnostic medicine, but academic medicine system-based training. Building AI native Academic Medicine Doctors, preparing them to be future leaders in medicine starting at a PGY-1 level, to the pedigree standards that the esteemed ACGME holds its programs to.
Coming July 2026 (Planned Accreditation):
RMGME’s first residency program, in Internal Medicine, marking a major milestone in academic growth and physician training will take place at SoCal Hospital in Culver City.
Mission
ACGME-accredited sponsoring institution dedicated to training our first wave of AI native academic medicine centered doctors.
RMGME partners with community hospitals in underserved and rural regions to establish and expand ACGME-accredited residency programs, where we will invite our graduating residents to practice post-residency at the teaching hospital we train our residents at. We encourage this but not mandate to be a direct line to alleviating the doctor shortage, in our most vulnerable population and rural based hospitals. Our mission is to increase access to graduate medical education by building sustainable training pathways that strengthen local healthcare systems and address physician shortages in an organic way. We train the next force of academic medicine-based doctors, introducing academic medicine as a career in our areas of need.
What we do
We prepare the next generation of AI native academic medicine centered doctors
Our mandate is to train the next generation of academic medicine, AI native doctors to meet the demand of future medicine, today. We help community-based hospitals transition into teaching hospitals. With Residents Medical Center for Graduate Medical Education Excellence, our residents will be given a healthy and cutting-edge teaching environment where they stay in the community hospitals that train them.
Our First Consortium:
We plan on starting our first Internal Medicine training program consortium with Southern California Hospital at Culver City, it is a historic community hospital with deep roots in serving the diverse populations of Culver City and surrounding Los Angeles communities. For decades, the hospital has been a trusted site of compassionate, patient-centered care, continuously evolving to meet modern healthcare needs while maintaining its community-first mission. We aspire to change this historical site as the first in nation training hub, to prepare our incoming class as the maiden AI Native academic medicine trained medical doctors, not coming out of a major university setting but out of a venerable population where access to academic medicine will enhance the community for generations to come. We will partner with the esteemed Lake Erie College of Medicine (LECOM) as a community based, university affiliated program pedigreed residency training program.
Located in the heart of Culver City, the hospital offers trainees a unique clinical environment, balancing high-acuity inpatient care, outpatient continuity, and exposure to a culturally and socioeconomically diverse patient population. This setting provides an ideal foundation for training physicians who are adaptable, service-oriented, and deeply grounded in real-world medicine.
As the hospital expands its academic footprint, the RM Center for GME Excellence will be just that, representing a strategic investment in physician education, scholarly activity, and long-term workforce development, ensuring that future trainees are not only clinically skilled, but also prepared to lead, teach, and innovate.
